I was recently trying to upgrade an old-ish Asus Transformer TF300T from Ice Cream Sandwich to Lollipop or higher so that I could give it to my son to use with ScratchJR. However, I ended up bricking it into a boot loop by formatting one of the partitions I shouldn't have. These are instructions on how I got this tablet back in working order and ultimately upgraded it to Marshmallow.

Pre-requisites for the steps that follow:

  • Fastboot & ADB
    sudo apt-get install android-tools-fastboot android-tools-adb

I wanted to create my own binaries of Unison File Synchronizer on Debian Jessie instead of using the ones from the repos. Rather than muck up my machine with things like build-essential, ocaml, headers, and such I decided to compile it in a Docker guest machine. Here are the steps I used to do it.

After reading a blog post on TakeFiveADay.com about Frank and his scale I started looking into getting a Frank and two Tractors from the Disney Store line since I felt the Mattel version was not in scale with the other Mattel cars. After getting my Frank and tractors I took these comparison shots of the vehicles.
