Tomoko's Baby Shower

We had our baby shower today. Lots of fun! Tomoko did a great job making some wonderful food, even though she is quite far along (36 weeks) she still enjoys being in the kitchen.

She made some wonderful home-made macaroni and cheese, quesadillas, carrot cupcakes, and chewy cookies (Alton Brown recipe). I made burgers ;) on the indoor grill we have.

Who was there? Minae, Cynthia, Ranya, and Shawna (with two daughters) for the beginning of the party. Later my co-worker Simone and his brother Manuela (looked like a 'more Italian looking' Vince Vaughn) showed for a quick visit. And lastly but not least Mars and Anya caught the tail end of the party then stayed to watch a movie and enjoy the evening.

Thanks to everyone who provided gifts for Leon and also a special thanks to Cynthia who helped prepare some food beforehand. Both Tomoko and I had a great time and enjoyed talking with everyone.

As a fun little test of skills (or maybe luck) we decided to let everyone try to predict when the baby would be born. Here are the predictions, prize to be determined:
